In 2016 we burst onto the Brisbane scene with a mission to change up the local courier game for good. Quite simply, we‘d had enough of sub-par delivery services, and thought we could do a hell of a lot better. In 2022 we relocated to our new, larger home in South Brisbane and expanded our offering to include 3PL and warehousing - now we are busier than ever!
At Ume we have fully embraced technology to make our lives, and your experience the very best it can be. Whilst we know we are pretty damn good at what we do, we aren’t afraid to seek out a little help from our friends where it’s needed. In this case our best friends are the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) software systems we use on the daily to keep things running as smooth and as smart as possible. We put customer experience at the forefront of everything we do and aim to be as efficient and accessible as possible at all times.
So, other than having a bee in our bonnet about revamping local deliveries in Brisbane, what else are we about?
Planet
Well, firstly we are really serious about the planet and making sure we do our bit as a transport company to offset any harmful impact we have on the environment.
We care so much in fact, that we just become Brisbane’s very first Carbon Neutral courier company. Thanks to key strategic partnerships with ground-breaking organisations such as 1% for the Planet and Carbon Neutral we have been able to fast-track our vision and implement planet saving processes to remove our footprint as a business.
We have also committed to adopting a fully Electric Vehicle (EV) fleet as soon as the trucks we need are commercially available on Australian shores.
We are excited for a future where transport vehicles don’t pollute the planet but for now we’re just super stoked that we’re already doing our bit and we’re staying ahead of the industry.

Born in the midst of a pandemic, our mission with UNFIT RUN CLUB (URC) was not only to get people moving during lockdown, but talking, collaborating and supporting local businesses in the process.
You can join the Brisbane and Gold Coast crews every Tuesday at a local gelateria, Thursday at a local brewery and Saturday at a local café. We have also recently started Sunday morning café runs on the Sunshine Coast. The response has blown us away - our community is thriving with more than 1,000 registered runners to date joining us to grab coffee, gelato or beer and enjoying a 1-10km run together through the streets of South-East Queensland. So far we have pumped circa $85,000 back into the local economy via café, gelateria and brewery visits - a huge boost for local small businesses trying to get back on their feet, and have raised in excess of $10,000 for local charitable causes. We are however most proud of the awesome and collaborative community we have created.
